Well regarded by peers for their mezzanine work, the financial markets team at Jones Day acts on a wide range of real estate financing transactions for both lenders and borrowers. On the lender side, the firm regularly engages in large NAV financings for asset management firms, alternative asset management firms, and investment banks. On the borrower side, the firm is advising real estate companies and banks on purpose-built student accommodations and multifamily homes. Andrew Barker spearheads the practice and is advising a mezzanine lender in the refinancing of multiple properties in Western Europe.
