Career

Claire Pauly is a Partner in international arbitration advising and representing companies before international arbitral tribunals, including under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (CEPANI), and ad hoc rules under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

She works with clients across various industries, particularly those in the energy, retail, real estate and pharmaceuticals sectors. She also represents clients in annulment, enforcement, and arbitration-related proceedings before French courts and often appears as arbitrator.

Claire has extensive experience in complex disputes pertaining to EPC contracts and post-M&A disputes, regularly representing major multinational companies mainly in the MENA and Continental European regions. Claire is known for her significant involvement in quantum and work with sector experts complex topics.

Claire has authored numerous publications in the field of arbitration. She teaches arbitration and litigation strategy at the University of Paris II-Panthéon Assas, Sciences Po Paris, the University of Paris Saclay, and the Centre for Mediation and Arbitration of Paris (CMAP).

Claire is an active member of Paris Arbitration Week since 2021 and was appointed Secretary General in 2023
