Career
Arturo de la Parra focuses his practice on a range of cross-border and domestic project and infrastructure-related lending transactions, with a particular emphasis in public infrastructure and in the renewable energy sector. He also has significant experience structuring operations such as off-balance sheet financing and 144A green bonds offerings. Arturo represents clients on their domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity, joint venture, and restructuring transactions, and has participated in structuring and negotiating public bids related to infrastructure projects in Mexico. Some of Arturo’s recent representations include advising PEMEX, Bancomext, Banobras and NAFIN, in connection with a loan for US$900 million, and with a US$2.1 billion loan granted to a SPV, for the modernization works of the Tula and Salina Cruz refineries. In 2022, Arturo advised BBVA, HSBC, Banco Sabadell, Banregio, and Intercam Banco in connection with a US$300 million green loan granted to FUNO for the construction and development of "Mitikah". Previously in 2020, Arturo assisted Banco Santander in a loan granted to Inmobiliaria Conjunto Polanco for the construction and development of “Miyana”, which together with “Mitikah” represent the most important new mixed-use residential, business, and commercial real estate projects located in Mexico City.
