Career

Fergus Saurin is a partner in the Hong Kong office of Kirkland & Ellis. Fergus focuses on dispute resolution and has extensive experience of complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration disputes, with a particular focus on capital markets, funds, M&A and shareholder disputes, as well as banking and international trade and investment cases. His arbitration experience includes cases administered under all of the major institutional rules, as well as a number of ad hoc arbitrations. He also regularly advises on insolvency and restructuring matters and has acted both creditor and debtor side in high profile insolvencies in Hong Kong and elsewhere.

Fergus has been named as a “Future Star” in International Arbitration by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2022 and 2023 and a “Rising Star Partner” in Restructuring and Insolvency by IFLR1000 2023.
