Robert Malionek is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm's Litigation & Trial Department. His focus is securities litigation and professional liability defense as well as debtor-side and creditor-side insolvency litigation.  Mr. Malionek has tried several cases in state and federal courts and in arbitrations, and has represented clients successfully through appeal, in a variety of areas. He frequently represents financial institutions and accounting firms in class actions, derivative actions, regulatory proceedings, arbitrations and in bankruptcy proceedings. His practice includes advising clients on financial reporting obligations. He has published many articles and chapters and given presentations to various organizations regarding securities litigation, financial disclosures and privilege issues. He publishes the twice-yearly Latham & Watkins Compendium of Securities Law.
