Everett (Kip) C. Johnson, Jr., former Chair of the Washington, D.C. Litigation & Trial Department and currently serving as Latham's General Counsel, has 30 years of civil and criminal litigation experience at both the trial and appellate level. He has practiced extensively in the areas of corporate governance and compliance and has handled, as lead trial counsel, numerous trials before federal and state courts throughout the country. In addition, Mr. Johnson has successfully handled both trials and appeals in regulatory takings cases in the Court of Federal Claims and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He has extensive experience handling administrative and regulatory disputes as well as Department of Justice and Congressional investigations.
