Débora Yanasse

Position
Débora H. Yanasse is a partner in the Global Energy, Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Practices of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown with a focus in the power, gas and, more recently, hydrogen industries.
Career
Since 2002, Débora has advised both domestic Brazilian and international clients in these industries on transactions and projects in Brazil, Africa and the Middle East. Débora advises on regulatory, contractual and corporate matters and has served as counsel for large and complex infrastructure projects in the structuring, implementation and operational phases, and in mergers and acquisitions, privatizations and auctions.
Débora has worked on a variety of projects including large hydro power plants, gas-fired thermo power plants, including LNG-based importation and regas, wind farms and solar power plants for centralized and distributed generation, biomass and biogas thermo power plants, interstate power transmission and gas transportation facilities, LNG terminals, hydrogen exploration and production facilities, ports, airports and railroads. Débora is a Coordinator of the Renewable Energy Committee at the Brazilian Institute of Energy Law (IBDE) and a member of the São Paulo Bar Association Electric Energy Special Committee (CEELE – OAB/SP). Débora is ranked as a “New Generation Partner” in Electric and Renewable Energy by Legal500, “Recommended” in Energy by the Leaders League and “Band 4” in Energy & Natural Resources: Power by Chambers & Partners.
