Position

Guido Vinci is a partner in the Tax practice of Tauil & Chequer in association with Mayer Brown.

Career

Guido Vinci has extensive experience in tax planning, tax consulting and tax litigation, in particular in connection with M&A transactions, foreign investment, VAT (ICMS) issues and capital markets. His clients include Brazilian and international companies from a variety of industry sectors, such as consumer goods, industrial goods and services, energy (oil and gas), pharmaceutical, hospitality and leisure (hotel and resorts), infrastructure, media and entertainment, financial and banking services, technology (telecommunications) and retail, real estate and life sciences.

Guido started his career in 1989 as a member of KPMG’s tax department and left KPMG as a senior tax manager until 1996. In the same year, Guido joined a prominent Brazilian law firm as a founding partner of the tax department and stayed until 2006. In 2007, he joined another prominent Brazilian law firm as a partner. He has been a partner at Tauil & Chequer Advogados since 2015.
