Zhifei’s practice focuses on international corporate tax law with a particular emphasis on tax structuring in connection with cross-border mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings in the United States, China, Japan, and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region.

Zhifei also advises U.S. and Asia-based fund sponsors and investors on tax issues in relation to the formation of, and investments in private funds.

Zhifei has experience on a diverse range of corporate matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investments, and other general corporate matters.

Zhifei is a Registered Foreign Lawyer with the Law Society of Hong Kong. Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, he was an associate in the Beijing office of a leading international law firm.
