Career

Mr. Specht has a broad government contracts practice that includes transactional work, litigation and counseling. Recognized by multiple publications as a rising star, Mr. Specht represents clients in all facets of government contracts mergers and acquisitions, as well as Federal Acquisition Regulation counseling, negotiation of subcontracts and teaming agreements, contract disputes, size protests, and both pre- and post-award bid protests. His work has included presenting oral argument in bid protests before the Court of Federal Claims, Government Accountability Office and multiple state courts. He also assists client with day-to-day government contracts matters, including contract counseling; negotiation of subcontracts and teaming agreements; formation of joint ventures; contract disputes; and navigating small business regulations. Mr. Specht is a frequent speaker on government contracts topics, having testified about procurement issues before the United States House of Representatives and led presentations on issues ranging from government contracts mergers and acquisitions to small business set asides and bankruptcy considerations before industry leaders.
