Pro bono work includes having obtained the first Certificate of Protection ever issued by the Ecuadorian Government, which was granted to Luthier Hugo Chiliquinga; and, the first patent ever conferred to a Luthier in Ecuador; Fundación Zaldumbide-Rosales (promoting musicians worldwide);The Global Foodbanking Network, and several foreigners moving into Ecuador to spend their retirement.

Obtained a Licentiate in Juridical Sciences degree in 1997, an Advocate of the Justice Tribunal degree in 2004, and a Jurisprudence Doctorate degree in 2004 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, based in Quito.
