Her experience in the public sphere includes her role as legal expert at the Ecuadorian Intellectual Property Institute, IEPI, in the distinctive signs and patents department and in the Intellectual Property Committee.

She worked in a long-standing law firm in Lima Peru, where she focused on intellectual property specializing in patents and trademarks both in Peruvian and Andean Community jurisdictions.
