Esteban specializes in corporate affairs and is an expert in corporate law, bankruptcy law, corporate governance and new corporate forms. He has worked on the preparation of legislative bills to recognize Simplified Stock Corporations, Collective Interest and Benefit Companies, and also on the Law to Modernize the Companies Law. He was also involved in the creation of Ecuadorian Standards for Good Corporate Governance which were approved by the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance. He has been a university professor of corporate and commercial law and he served as the Companies Director for Quito at the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance.
