Position

Gregory I. Rasin is a former chair of Proskauer's Labor & Employment Department.  He has significant experience in employment litigation, including the defense of major class actions and his accomplishments have been widely recognized by several respected independent authorities. In addition to the class actions, Greg has served as lead counsel in the defense of numerous individual lawsuits. These include alleged violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Federal Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, the Federal Equal Pay Act, the New York Human Rights Law, the New York Civil Rights Law, and the New York City Administrative Code. He has litigated wrongful discharge and other state law issues in federal and state courts throughout the United States. He also has argued several appeals before the Second and Fifth Circuits and various state appellate courts.

Greg is a noted author and speaker on employment-related topics. Some of his recent, notable publications include “Social Networking and Blogging: Managing the Conversation,” which appeared in the New York Law Journal in July 2009, and “Disclosures Amid Group Terminations,” which appeared in the same publication in May 2007.
