Career

Carla Sosa is a partner at BKM | Berkemeyer. She joined the firm in March 2005.

She leads the Corporate Law and Antitrust areas, focusing her practice on corporate advice, and commercial litigation and arbitration.

She has extensive experience in merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures, due diligence processes, commercial, distribution, agency and representation agreements, corporate restructuring and asset sales and acquisitions with local and international companies.

She has advised in multiple transactions under the antitrust regime, including notifications, antitrust proceedings and anti-competitive practices.

She has acted as lead counsel in large-scale arbitrations, including the most important arbitration in the country, considering the amount of the claim in the dispute.

She has participated as a speaker in several seminars, among them the seminar ‘Pandemic. Force majeure in contracts’, organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
