Chris is a partner in our construction and engineering group advising clients on the procurement of major construction and engineering projects.
He advises on procurement strategies, framework agreements, construction & engineering contracts, alliancing and partnering contracts, PPP agreements, professional team appointments and ancillary construction documents. He is experienced in the full range of standard form construction and engineering contracts including NEC3, MF/1, JCT, ICC(ICE) and FIDIC.
Chris is described as “recommended” in Legal 500.
His recent experience includes:
- Advising on the procurement of strategic partners for a £3.1billion mains replacement programme across UK gas distribution networks to tie in with Ofgem's 8 year RIIO-GD1 price control period.
- Advising a regulated transport infrastructure client on long term ICC and NEC3 based frameworks and bespoke joint delivery alliancing agreements for the maintenance, upgrade and extension of its network with a value of in excess of £2billion.
- Advising a UK water utility on the procurement of its alliancing agreements for its 5 year Asset Management Plan 6 (AMP6) programme of capital investment in clean and dirty water infrastructure.
