Noreen is a Regulatory Director within our Regulatory Consulting Practice. Noreen’s role is focussed on providing our clients with pragmatic compliance advice in relation to a variety of issues which can impact our clients immediately or in the future. Noreen and the rest of the regulatory team partner with our legal teams to deliver robust, pragmatic and achievable solutions.

Noreen is an experienced regulatory professional with over 19 years of regulatory compliance experience. She has a strong knowledge of risk frameworks and effective compliance and regulatory risk management. Noreen has particular expertise in Culture, Governance, systems & controls and Conduct. Her experience is gained from a variety of industry sectors and previous senior compliance roles within the financial services industry. Noreen has supplemented her practical experience by attaining a MSc in Financial Regulation and Compliance Management.

Examples of Previous Projects

• Managing a number of Past Business reviews across a variety of industry sectors (both client driven reviews and Regulator instigated reviews)

• Managing and delivery of the outcomes required in respect of Skilled Persons Projects

• Liaison with the FCA in respect of critical clients issues

• Provision of strategic compliance and delivery of practical implementation advice in relation to regulatory changes (e.g. consumer credit, RDR, MMR), as well as providing a sounding board for Boards in relation to business alignment to compliance imperatives.

• Provision of training and coaching to compliance & operational staff as well as senior management

• Design and delivery of Training and Competence Schemes

• Design and delivery of Compliance training at varying levels of an organisation

• Partnering with a leading financial services firm to overhaul there complaints management arrangements

• Conducting due diligence activities on behalf of firms wishing to invest in financial services firms.

• Implemented an audit monitoring programme assessing systems and controls against regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Reviewed new client business against advisory regulatory requirements and financial promotions approval.
