Jason Lovell

Jason Lovell is a corporate partner in our International Infrastructure and Energy Group. He has an international practice comprising a wide range of transactions and projects. Jason has significant international energy experience advising on the sale and purchase of development projects and generating assets, working extensively for both state owned and privately owned entities and also working on a number of high profile energy joint ventures. His experience extends through the full length of the energy chain, including traditional oil and gas transactions (upstream, midstream and downstream), conventional and unconventional power generation, interconnectors, renewables, battery storage and shale gas development. Assisted China General Nuclear European Energy in acquiring a 75% stake in the 650MW Markbygden project in Sweden (the largest single site onshore wind farm in Europe). Assisted Sembcorp on the acquisition of the UK's largest portfolio of flexible fast response generation (UK Power Reserve Limited) Assisted China General Nuclear European Energy on the acquisition of a portfolio of 14 operating (and near operating) onshore wind farms from Gaelectric Holdings plc and Lanber Holdings, which operate at approximately 228MW in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland China General Nuclear European Energy on its first ever renewable energy investment in the UK, the acquisition of an 80% stake in 3 UK onshore windfarms from EDF Energy Renewables for more than £100 Assisted a major Chinese corporation in the consideration of the acquisition of oil field interests in Nigeria Represented a major Chinese corporation in the consideration of the acquisition of oil field interests based in Russia Represented a major Chinese oil company on its proposed acquisition of upstream assets in Kazakhstan
