Ian is a Managing Director - FS Regulatory Compliance in Eversheds Consulting. He has a proven track-record, skills and experience in identifying, targeting and winning new regulatory compliance projects in the Risk, Governance and Compliance sectors across UK Retail Financial Services
His skills and experience extend to P&L and operational delivery of regulatory compliance projects from small niche-focused technical reviews to large-scale retail remediation programmes across a variety of conduct risk sectors.
His recent experience includes delivery of a significant and complex remediation project for a highly regarded UK based bank; resourcing a fully outsourced remediation programme for a UK insurer redressing thousands of customers for detriment arising from unsuitable financial advice; and, advising a wealth management subsidiary of a private bank on how to restructure their 3 line defence model to provide enhanced assurance ensuring business monitoring and compliance deliver effective and proportionate risk oversight.
Latterly, Ian spent 5 years at the respected regulatory and compliance consultancy, The Consulting Consortium. As the Director responsible for Sales and Marketing, Ian was involved in the design, execution and financial responsibility for business growth strategies as well as aligning marketing strategy and tactical execution across brand, channel, communications, campaigns and PR.
Ian’s straightforward approach to new business development sits at the heart of Ian’s previous roles and his role in Eversheds Consulting will be no different.
His vision for Eversheds Consulting is to harness and leverage existing and new relationships to deliver service excellence across the firm. Through identifying client needs and issues, Eversheds will design and deliver practical business solutions through its unique blend of legal and consulting capabilities.
