Position
Anthony is the London Senior Partner and head of Pensions in our human resources practice. He is also a director of our independent Trustee Company, Bridge Trustees Ltd, and acts as an independent Trustee. Anthony is a member of the CBI Pensions Panel and advises the trustees and companies of several major pension schemes including John Lewis, British Airways, Hewlett Packard, J. Sainsbury, Volkswagen and T-Mobile. His expertise includes revising scheme documentation for major financial institutions; advice provided on the pensions aspects of major transactions; drafting and establishing pension schemes; benefit redesign; advising trustees and employers on the winding up of schemes; scheme mergers and the interpretation of scheme documents, compliance, the drafting of investment management agreements and pension matters generally. He advises the Department for Transport on pension issues particularly in respect of the Railways Pension Scheme. He has experience in dealing with contentious and non-contentious pension issues and has lectured and written articles on a wide variety of pension matters. Anthony was chosen by Prince Charles to be his 2009 London Ambassador, awarded for his leadership and commitment to Corporate Responsibility.
