Jon Stanley

Jon is a principal associate in our Company Commercial group and has specialised in domestic and cross-border equity capital markets and listed company matters for more than a decade.
Jon’s recent ECM experience includes: advising CRDB Bank PLC, one of Tanzania’s largest banks, on its US$80 million rights issue on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange; advising Investec Bank plc as sole sponsor and bookrunner in relation to the £232 million IPO of Sanne Group plc (LSE) and as nominated adviser and broker in relation to the £165 million IPO of Gamma Communications plc (AIM); advising CPPGroup Plc on its £20m placing and stepdown to AIM; and advising the nominated adviser and joint bookrunners on the £140m IPO of Morses Club PLC (AIM).
During his career, Jon has also advised the sponsor and underwriters in connection with the US$175 million IPO of Emirates REIT on Nasdaq Dubai, Energy Assets Group plc in connection with its £57 million IPO, the sponsor and underwriters in connection with the US$1.25 billion IPO of Samsonite Corporation on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the sponsor and underwriters on the IPO in London, Warsaw and Prague of New World Resources N.V. Jon has advised numerous other issuers, investment banks and shareholders on IPOs (including numerous GDR listings by emerging markets issuers), rights issues, open offers, placings and block trades.
Jon has extensive experience of advising companies and shareholders in relation to shareholder activism (having most recently advised on the requisitioned General Meeting of CPPGroup Plc) and has also advised issuers of debt securities in relation to consent solicitations and liability management exercises.
Jon also assists clients in the renewable energy sector with equity financing of the construction of newbuild UK and international solar, wind and biomass power projects and with acquisitions and disposals of existing projects.
