Alan is a Scottish qualified associate in our Litigation and Dispute Management practice group, specialising in real estate litigation and financial services disputes.

He advises on a range of property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, dilapidations, and break notices. He also has experience in the renewable energy sector, having been involved in property disputes and planning related judicial reviews.

Alan also advises on a variety of contentious matters in the financial sector. He deals with mortgage enforcement, unsecured debt recovery, insurance subrogated recovery and liability disputes, and consumer claims against financial institutions.

His recent experience includes: advising on landlord and tenant disputes in the Court of Session in relation to the validity of break notices; dealing with the Scottish mortgage enforcement caseload of a number of lenders; and handling insurance subrogated recovery and liability disputes.
