Michael Röhsner has been working at Eversheds Sutherland (Austria) as Associate since May 2016 and as Legal Director since December 2021.

 He specializes in data protection, IT Law and cybersecurity.

 As an expert in data protection, he supports leading international companies in complying with the GDPR and local data protection rules. In the field of IT law, he advises numerous companies on the drafting, revision and enforcement of contracts, particularly IT contracts. Furthermore, he supports businesses in the preparation of preventive measures for cyber incidents or in dealing with all challenges after a cyberattack.

He also advises on all issues of consumer law and e-commerce, such as the drafting of general terms and conditions and compliance with applicable consumer protection regulations.

 Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, he studied law at the University of Vienna, with a focus on internet law. Furthermore, Michael attended the Master’s programme in “Law and Digital Technologies” at Leiden University (the Netherlands), thus receiving the degree LL.M. (cum laude). In this programme, Michael particularly specialized in data protection law. In 2021, he passed the Austrian bar exam with distinction.
