Johan Joos

Partner, Johan leads the brussels real estate, construction and engineering, and regulatory practice. His holistic practice covers the transactional, litigation, regulatory and strategic management aspects of projects and investments/divestments in the fields of real estate, energy and infrastructure, and this from a belgian, eu and international perspective. He has been involved in many of the largest belgian and eu-wide real estate, energy and infrastructure projects and transactions over the past fifteen years, acting for both local and multinational companies and public bodies. Johan mainly represents clients in the chemical, construction, energy, food and drink, healthcare, hospitality, infrastructure, real estate and retail sectors, as well as (other) clients active in or dealing with the public sector. He has also advised and lobbied various public bodies on issues that matter to such sectors and has represented clients in sector-related proceedings before both administrative and civil courts. Johan is a regular speaker and writer on various legal and strategic management topics related to real estate, energy and infrastructure. He is a member of both the brussels bar (since 2001) and the royal institution of chartered surveyors (mrics - management consultancy professional group) (since 2012) and is also active in uli belgium and other local professional and sector associations. Johan also serves as global ambassador of northwestern alumni association to belgium. , Eversheds Sutherland
