Sam Voet

Sam is an associate in our real estate, construction and engineering, and regulatory practice. Besides working on transactions, he focuses on regulatory and litigation aspects of projects in the fields of real estate, energy and infrastructure. Sam has particular expertise in public law, working on matters in the fields of public procurement, planning, environment, health and safety, energy and chemicals. His recent experience includes: assisting clients during the process of acquisition and disposal of real estate; supporting project developers on legally structuring their projects and obtaining building and environmental permits; advising both companies and public authorities on public procurement strategies. Sam is also an experienced litigator, appearing regularly before both civil and administrative courts, including the belgian council of state and the flemish council of permit disputes. Prior to joining the bar in january 2012, sam was employed with the flemish government, at the high council for planning enforcement matters. Sam regularly publishes in the field of public law, is a regular speaker on various public law topics and is a scientific researcher at kluwer.  , Eversheds Sutherland
