Lucy Churchill

Lucy is a senior associate in the cambridge employment team providing advice and support to employers on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. Lucy acts for a broad range of clients across a number of sectors, including consumer, finance, and tmt. She works independently, acting as the key contact for a number of the team's clients, coordinating the delegation of tasks to the broader client service team and being responsible for client care activities. Lucy has completed a secondment at the in-house legal team of an international integrated facilities company. She is a trusted adviser to many household name employers, providing strategic advice on collective redundancies, restructuring, outsourcing, tupe and varying terms of employment in both unionised and non-unionised environments. Lucy advises businesses and organisations on strategic people management issues in relation to matters such as: managing complex investigations, disciplinaries and grievances, discrimination issues, sickness and absence management and business restructuring and reorganisation. Lucy has extensive experience of advising on and dealing with employment tribunal litigation matters, including claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and breach of contract. Lucy has an ability to understand key business issues and identify, develop and implement pragmatic solutions to support the business in achievement of its goals. Lucy enjoys delivering training and regularly speaks at client and public seminars on topics such as tackling unlawful discrimination, conducting complex disciplinary and grievance investigations. As a member of hrpg's data protection group, lucy has worked closely with the data privacy team to become a team lead on dpa issues, and has experience of managing and advising on complex subject access requests made in the context of litigation.
