Partner tambet toomela leads the data protection, labour law, intellectual property, and it law practices of the law firm.Tambet has 15 years of experience in counselling and representing clients. He provides high-grade legal advice in all criminal law matters and represents clients in court. He has represented clients in the supreme court of estonia in multiple occasions. Tambet has represented clients in criminal proceedings related to offences regarding tax crimes, misuse of official position, violation of procedure for handling tobacco products etc. He represented a client in the supreme court in a litigation of significant importance regarding hindering of computer systems in the criminal process.He also has extensive experience in representing clients in their judicial and extrajudicial disputes, in preparing various special-purpose contracts (incl. Advising major industrial and development projects), in advising clients on consumer protection and advertising matters, as well as in arranging residence and work permits.Tambet also consults clients on various intellectual property related matters, such as acquisition, registration, licensing and protection, trade mark disputes, and assists them in handling matters concerning it solutions, products, and services. He serves as the data protection officer (dpo) for many key-clients of the firm. From 2015 to 2020 tambet was  a lecturer at the university of tartu, delivering lectures and seminars on ict litigation. He is also a member of the aippi (international association for the protection of intellectual property) estonian national group and a member of the ip/it law commission at the estonian bar association.Tambet has experience in all aspects of labour law disputes and related proceedings. He coordinates establishment of different staff regulations and collective bargaining situations by the employment law team. He is a well-known lecturer on employment law and among other trainings has also given a full day training to the lawyers’ team of the estonian employment inspectorate (2019).
