Nanette Pilkington

Nanette is an associate in the litigation team specialising in international commercial arbitration and public international law. She also has wide experience in non-contentious oil and gas work and project financing, particularly in africa and the middle east. Her recent experience includes: advising the project company in relation to the project financing of a pan-african satellite telecommunications system; advising a national oil company in connection with the contractual framework for various lng projects. Assisting an oil company in negotiations relating to its participation in exploration and production sharing agreements in libya. Assisting a power producer in relation to an operation and maintenance agreement in west africa. She has written articles on arbitration for the 'international arbitration law review' and on ohada business law for 'la semaine juridique'. She is a co-author of 'business law in africa: ohada and the harmonization process', 'le droit uniforme africain des affaires issu de l'ohada', 'doing business with libya' and ‘libya: a guide to commercial law, banking law and accounting’. She has been cited in legal 500 for her work in public international law. Nanette has spoken at conferences on maritime delimitation, sanctions issues and ohada law, and is a member of the comité français de l'arbitrage. Français nanette est collaboratrice au sein du département contentieux, spécialisée en arbitrage commercial international et en droit international public. Elle a également une grande expérience des contrats dans le domaine du pétrole, du gaz et en matière de financement de projets, en particulier en afrique et au moyen-orient. Elle a récemment conseillé un client dans le cadre du financement de projet d’un système panafricain de télécommunications satellitaires ainsi qu’une compagnie pétrolière nationale, dans le cadre contractuel pour divers projets de gnl. Par ailleurs, elle a assisté une compagnie pétrolière lors de négociations relatives à un contrat d'exploration et de partage de production en libye, et un producteur d'énergie concernant un différend relatif à un contrat d'exploitation et de maintenance en afrique de l'ouest. Nanette a rédigé des articles sur le thème de l'arbitrage pour l'international arbitration law review et sur le droit des affaires ohada pour le journal la semaine juridique. Elle est co-auteur des ouvrages " business law in africa: ohada and the harmonization process ", " le droit uniforme africain des affaires issu de l'ohada ", " doing business with libya ", et “libya: a guide to commercial law, banking law and accounting”. Elle a été citée dans legal 500 pour son expertise en droit international public. Nanette est intervenue sur des conférences sur la délimitation des frontières maritimes, les questions de sanctions internationales et le droit ohada.
