Michael is the Asia Head of Banking & Finance practice. His experience covers a broad range of banking and finance matters, including corporate lending, structured trade finance, receivables financing, supply chain services, securities and investment products, cash management and treasury products, derivatives and ISDA documentation, banking regulation and compliance and various general banking matters.

He has also represented various banks in trade finance disputes, asset recovery, debt restructuring and receivership and is familiar with security enforcement and other issues encountered in the process (both contentious and non-contentious).

Michael has worked with many local and international banks on a diverse range of China-related finance matters, including cross-border lending and taking security, warehouse financing, pre-export financing, prepayment and deferred payment financing, and documentary credits refinancing.

He is also a frequent speaker in training workshops for bankers in both Hong Kong and overseas on various topics, such as structured trade finance, receivables financing and taking security.

Michael was recognised as a leading Banking & Finance lawyer by Chambers Asia 2013-2014 and Chambers Global 2013.
