Jānis is an Attorney at Law, Partner at Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns, and is leading our Public Procurement and PPP and Employment practice groups.

Jānis has several years of experience specializing in public procurement and employment law, as well as in commercial disputes and litigation.

His professional experience includes providing support to clients in the field of public procurement, both providing daily advice and resolving disputes in the Procurement Monitoring Bureau and in the Administrative Court, representing both bidders and contracting authorities.

Jānis also provides clients with daily legal assistance in employment law and resolves various complex employment law disputes.

Jānis has gained experience in complex public procurement proceedings, including the application of interim measures, annulment of a procurement contract, the specifics of a design contest, etc. In the field of labor law, Jānis has worked on several projects related to company reorganizations, dispute resolution between employees and employers, as well as between employers and employees' trade unions.
