Mary Anne Roff

Mary anne is a partner in our construction and engineering team. She worked in law firms in london and paris, and was head of litigation at muckle llp, before moving to eversheds in 2005. Mary anne handles complex disputes, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Her recent experience includes: advising an international energy group in a major lcia arbitration arising out of its renewables business; acting in an lmaa arbitration of a contractual dispute arising out of a £300 million rig contract for topside build and integration works; acting for one of the world's largest utilities in a multi-million pound dispute concerning damage to gas pipelines; regularly advising a major company in the rail sector on its disputes, including adjudications, mediations, and early neutral evaluations. Her extensive experience includes litigation, arbitration and adjudication; expert determination; and alternative dispute resolution procedures such as early neutral evaluation and mediation. Mary anne is recognised as a construction expert in various legal directories. She is described in such directories as "impressively talented", a "tough negotiator" and as winning "effusive client praise". Mary anne speaks french, german and spanish. Mary anne is a member of nof energy. She has held posts as a director of rtc north, a judge of the constructing excellence awards, and a member of the regional leadership team of business in the community.
