Samer is an senior associate in our doha office and joined eversheds in february 2013. Before joining the firm samer worked for 5 years (2008-2013) as an associate at an international law firm in doha. He previously worked as a legal counsel for a leading group of companies in doha (2007-2008). He is fluent in arabic, english and french.Samer advises on employment, real estate and corporate and commercial matters with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, industries and company incorporation, funds, ipos and listing. He also has significant experience advising banks and financial institutions on their corporate and security documents as well as industrial and manufacturing companies on their licensing and incorporation process.Samer's previous experience includes: advising barwa bank on its proposed ipo and listing, advising barwa bank on its simoultaneous acquisition of the first finance company (listed company), the first investor and first leasing company, advising qatar investment authority on their us$ 1bn joint venture with nyse euronext in respect of qatar exchange and its recent restructuring, advising al khalij commercial bank on the merger with international bank of qatar, existing shareholders of bawabat al shamal real estate, including qatar islamic bank and aqar real estate investment, on a joint venture with al futtaim to construct a us$1.6bn state-of-the-art entertainment and retail complex in qatar.Samer is a regular speaker on the topic of joint ventures, companies and industries start up, merger and acquisition and is also an arbitrator at the qatar chamber of commerce and a member of the beirut bar association., Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP
