Julie is an Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team in Doha.

She has experience in various corporate and commercial matters such as local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, international corporate transactions, commercial agreements, joint ventures, funds, listings, corporate due diligence and company incorporation. She also advises on other commercial matters such as employment, franchising and distribution arrangements, real estate. She is fluent in Arabic, English and French.

Her recent experience includes advising: a major Qatari company on the acquisition of all its shares by a GCC national shareholder; a major Qatari investment company in respect of its funds' structure, activity and compliance with Qatari Law; and the First Investor on the acquisition of 41.7 percent stake in an education company in Qatar.

As a native Arabic speaker, Julie also assists in our Construction and Dispute Management practices. Her experience relating to construction disputes includes international construction arbitrations under ICC, DIAC, QIAC and CCIB Rules in Qatar, Dubai - UAE and Lebanon.

Julie studied Lebanese Law and French Law at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut and obtained a LLB in Law and Master I - Certificate of Specialisation (Private Law) and is a member of the Beirut Bar Association.

Prior to joining the firm, she worked for four years at one of the major law firms in Beirut, Lebanon.
