A principal associate in our banking and finance group, with a background in leveraged and acquisition finance, Alex leads the sustainable finance initiatives within the global finance team. Alex assisted design and co-manages the market leading UK Sustainable Finance Guide app and holds a certificate in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. Her recent transaction experience includes: Advising Pollen Street Capital, fast growing, purpose led, independent, alternative investment manager, in respect of a new £75,000,000 senior secured credit facility made available to Splend, a UK and Australia based technology enabled platform for vehicle subscription; Acting for HSBC UK Bank plc as original lender, arranger and sustainability coordinator in respect of advising on the inaugural £300,000,000 sustainability-linked revolving facility for RS Group plc (formerly Electrocomponents PLC) with targets linked to reduction in CO2 emissions, reduction of packaging intensity and increasing female representation in leadership; Acting for; and Acting for abrdn’s Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust on its £350m sustainability linked loan provided by Wells Fargo to finance an acquisition and renovation programme across its industrial portfolio, the deal being named runner up in the “Sustainable Financing of the Year” at Real Estate Capital Europe Awards 2022
