Hayley is a Senior Associate in the financial services contentious regulatory team. She advises on a broad range of financial services disputes and investigations, with a particular focus on regulatory investigations, including defending firms and individuals in FCA/PRA enforcement actions and s.166 Skilled Person reviews. Hayley has particular experience in matters relating to operational resilience, including advising on the ongoing high profile FCA investigation into a leading corporate arising from a headline news cybersecurity incident. Most recently, she undertook an accountability review for a major bank in relation to an IT outage. Hayley also has considerable experience in investigations and enforcement cases relating to financial crime. She acted in the noteworthy senior management misconduct case of Ataur Rahman Prodhan in relation to AML oversight failings, which concluded in November 2022 and has a number of ongoing enforcement matters spanning AML, sanctions and governance. Other recent experience includes acting for a Material Risk Taker within a major investment bank in connection with allegations of non-financial misconduct. Hayley also regularly advises financial services clients more generally on compliance with UK regulation and other relevant legislation.
