Martin Mankabady is a corporate insurance & regulatory partner and co-head of our global insurance group. Martin advises on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations, and commercial, product (including warranty & indemnity), corporate governance, and regulatory matters. Many of these matters are cross-border. Martin principally advises on non-life matters, including run-off. Clients include the largest (re)insurance brokers, carriers, managing agents, and other players in the (re)insurance market, as well as a number of high-profile clients involved in insurance distribution whose core business is not insurance. Martin is often instructed on complex, strategic and transformational change matters given his experience. Martin also has a particular interest in AI and other technologies and their potential impact on the insurance market. Martin is a keen promoter too of the importance of staff wellbeing in respect of developing and nurturing talent, and helping deliver on a business’ key goals and objectives. Martin is also a member of a number of leading committees and organisations where he is involved in consultations on new legislation and policy developments.
