Eszter is an Associate in our commercial dispute resolution team. She is involved in a wide range of sectors and handles matters arising from commercial disputes in varying contexts. Her variety of cases include conflicts arising from contractual relationships, particularly in the context of ever-changing IT projects, assisting in situations where contracting parties face financial difficulties, and claims arising from defective products or failures to supply goods which conform to the original orders. Many of Eszter’s matters involve an international element and she has worked with clients and colleagues in a range of jurisdictions, including, India, South Africa, Hungary, France, Algeria and Australia.

Eszter has also played a key role in a number of larger projects, and has developed strong project management skills and thorough familiarity with case management and e-disclosure systems. In particular, she was involved in anti-trust litigation on behalf of several major producers of electronic goods, as well as an investigation into the governance and procurement procedures of a large public sector organisation.

Eszter is particularly focused on developing her expertise of the Energy sector, and works closely with a number of energy supplier companies. She frequently advises on regulatory compliance issues, as well as on the more technical aspects of the heavy regulatory burden on energy companies. There are many overlaps with public law issues and Eszter frequently gives specialist advice on judicial review challenges, not only in an Energy context but also within the Healthcare and Education sectors.

She is also an active member of the firm’s Retail sector group, where clients often call upon her advice on complex agency termination issues. She is also currently developing strategies to protect Food & Drink clients’ interests and profile in the context of health claims arising from the sugar and fat content of food and drink products.
