Rachael Aaron

Rachael is an associate within the construction group with over 17 years' experience of advising in relation to both domestic and international construction projects. Rachael's experience extends to both advising on the transactional phase of construction projects and also acting in relation to disputes which may arise on such projects. Rachael's work concentrates on major engineering projects, with a particular focus on projects within the renewable energy sector. Examples of Rachael's recent experience include: advising an investor on the acquisition of several solar farm portfolios, totalling approximately 390MW; advising an investor in relation to the acquisition of an over £90 million portfolio of more than 30 wind farms; advising a contractor in relation to the negotiation of construction contracts for a major offshore wind farm with a value in excess of £100 million; advising a transport infrastructure provider in relation to a series of disputes on a number of construction contracts with a value in excess of £100 million and in relation to the wider business implications; acting on behalf of a pharmaceutical employer in an expert determination and in relation to a multi million pound final account dispute; and acting on behalf of both employers and contractors regarding defects claims and calls on associated bonds in relation to a number of solar farms, with a potential combined value in excess of £50 million. Rachael has previously been a visiting lecturer on the MSc Construction Law and Arbitration course at Leeds Metropolitan University.
