Paul is the Global Head of Litigation at Eversheds, leading a team of 80 partners and over 400 other legal advisers. He is also a member of the firm’s Senior Management Team and International Steering Group.

Paul joined the firm in 2002 and has held a number of senior management roles. He has over 20 years’ experience of complex litigation, investigations and regulatory/compliance work, particularly for financial services clients. He has worked on a number of regulatory mandates for the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority in relation to conduct, governance and financial crime issues. Paul has recently advised clients on cases involving interest rate hedging products, anti-money laundering and general fraud issues.

Paul’s team covers all types of litigation, arbitration and investigations work across Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa. It has particular expertise in construction & engineering, financial services, real estate and energy. The group also includes the UK’s leading public inquiry team having acted on mandates including Bloody Sunday, Dr Harold Shipman and the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Paul has been recognised as a leading expert by the Legal Directories for many years, citing him as “a no nonsense lawyer” with “real commercial nous”.
