Career

Iwan is a Partner in our corporate practice group.

Iwan has extensive experience of international mergers and acquisitions across, Europe, Middle East, Russia and Asia. Iwan has advised on a wide variety of transactions including corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, equity and debt fund raising, mergers and acquisitions and public takeovers. He has advised a number of large PLCs and private companies including Tesco Plc, Hewlett Packard, Jet Aviation, Gruma corporation, Hudson Capital, BNP Paribas, Pennant Walters, Blackrock and HSBC Infrastructure Fund.

Iwan has been very active with the Clean Energy and Sustainability Group advising on biomass, solar, wind and tidal energy projects. Iwan has extensive experience advising buyers and sellers in relation to onshore wind farm projects in England, Wales and Scotland.

Iwan advises on all aspects of corporate law and has experience of handling both public and private mergers and acquisitions, including advising a number of major listed PLCs on a wide range of issues relevant to the UK Takeover Code and the Listing Rules of the UKLA. Iwan has acted on a large number of takeover bids including the first ever hostile takeover in China when he acted for Anheuser Busch on their takeover of Harbin Brewery.

Iwan has acted for a large number of UK and foreign-owned business and has advised on a number of high-profile domestic and international transactions. Iwan spent two years working in Hong Kong and has recently been very active in the development of Eversheds International Clean Energy practice.

Iwan worked in London and Hong Kong for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before joining Eversheds in January 2007.
