Māris advises on all aspects of employment law and has more than ten years of extensive experience in providing day-to-day legal advice to multinational corporations on a wide range of employment law related issues such as employment contracts and post-termination covenants, workplace and benefits policies, collective bargaining matters, workforce restructuring, employment contract termination and collective redundancies, posting of employees and many more.  Māris has a solid track record of representing clients in employment law disputes before courts.

In addition, Māris has gained considerable experience in the fields of public procurement, drafting and negotiation of complex tender documentation, rendering of legal opinions and representing clients in public procurement disputes, both before administrative authorities and in courts.Māris has authored several articles and publications on employment law issues in Latvia.  He is the author of the Latvian law chapter of the book Employment Law in Europe published by Tottel Publishing in 2013.  Maris is also an acclaimed speaker at various employment law seminars.
