Martin is an Associate specialising in planning and infrastructure. He has extensive experience in acting for developers, local authorities and statutory undertakers on both residential and commercial development, with a particular focus on drafting and the negotiation of complex section 106 agreements, deeds of variation and highways agreements. Martin's expertise covers all aspects of the planning process and includes: planning appeals and judicial review, planning enforcement and the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations. He is also regularly involved in carrying out due diligence from a planning perspective and his recent experience has included review of a lengthy and complex planning history for a large regeneration scheme in London and acquisition of an onshore wind farm portfolio. Martin also has experience of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, having recently been part of the team acting in relation to two rail-freight interchange projects, including input to the related section 106 agreements. Other recent planning and infrastructure experience includes: acting for a local authority on the first stage of an urban extension in Buckinghamshire involving a mixed-use redevelopment of Ministry of Defence land including the provision of up to 350 dwellings acting for a global ICT provider in relation to the demolition of a hotel and provision of a data centre of almost 10,000m2 in London acting for a national housebuilder on their 265 dwelling scheme in Greater Manchester
