Ian is a Legal Director in the Real Estate Practice Group.

Ian specialises in all aspects of complex commercial and mixed use development and investment work including joint ventures and funding in the private sector.

Ian's recent experience includes acting for:

- LDC on the £307M acquisition of The National Exhibition Centre, The National Indoor Arena and the International Exhibition Centre.

- Land Securities and the Crown Estate on the 800,000 sq. ft. re-development of The Westgate Shopping Centre, Oxford anchored by John Lewis.

- Network Rail and Birmingham City Council on the £600M re-development of New Street Station and Grand Central Shopping Centre, Birmingham.

- Grosvenor Developments on the Above Bar development at Southampton.

- BIA on the extension of the runway at Birmingham International Airport.

- Land Securities on the acquisitions of The 02 Centre, London, The Cornerhouse, Nottingham (£50M), The Printworks, Manchester (£94M) and The Kingsmead Centre, Bath.

- Barclays on the provision of development finance in relation to Dollar Bay, Isle of Dogs, London.

- The Birmingham Alliance on the disposal of The Bull Ring, Birmingham.

- Land Securities on the £112M purchase of a 42% stake in the X-Leisure Unit Trust.

Ian heads up a team dealing with the management of a number of shopping centres and leisure schemes across the UK.
