Laura-Beth is a Principal Associate in our Planning and Infrastructure Consenting team and acts for developers, landowners and local authorities in relation to all aspects of planning law and practice. She has extensive experience in dealing with major development schemes and large infrastructure projects both as part of and separate from, Development Consent Order (“DCO”) applications for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. Laura-Beth has dealt with five approved DCO applications, including four rail freight interchanges which include significant highway works and a new harbour. The promotion of large infrastructure projects by way of Development Consent Orders is still a relatively recent consenting regime. Laura-Beth's extensive experience in that field means that she is extremely well placed to advise on such schemes. She is one of a select number of lawyers who have experience in the field. Laura-Beth is currently advising on several applications for DCOs in various sectors including logistics, energy and waste water. She is advising on the implementation, including the exercise of the compulsory acquisition powers, of several consented NSIPsLaura-Beth is also routinely instructed by national and regional developers of major residential/mixed use and commercial schemes and deals with complex planning obligations through section 106 agreements and infrastructure agreements.
