Aida is a Legal Director in our human resources practice specialising in pensions law.

Aida's recent experience includes advising both private and public sector clients, including National Assembly for Wales and the Northern Ireland Assembly. She also advises a number of major PLCs and Trustee Boards in respect of all sizes of pension scheme on aspects of establishing and running pension schemes including documentation, governance, IDRP and Pensions Ombudsman's complaints, regulatory compliance, scheme mergers, scheme change and winding-up.

Aida's experience includes advising on pension scheme mergers, on preparing documentation for and establishing life assurance schemes, personal pension schemes (including SIPPs) final salary schemes, CARE and money purchase pension schemes. Aida also advises on investment management and custody agreements, on investment related issues for SIPP members, on the closure of schemes to future accrual and on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions.

Aida also has significant experience in advising on pensions issues arising in respect of PFI projects and outsourcings from the public sector. This includes providing advice on the implications of Fair Deal, the Best Value Authorities Staff Transfers (Pensions) Direction 2007 and the Two-Tier Code, as well as negotiating warranties and indemnities and bulk transfer schedules. She also provides advice and legal support in respect of LGPS admission bodies, administering authorities and scheme employers in respect of issues arising from public sector body mergers and admission agreements.

Aida has also undertaken a number of projects which involved the updating and rewrite of the entire portfolio of personal and occupational pension scheme documentation for a number of well known insurance companies.

Aida regularly presents at our Pensions Briefings and is a member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers.
