Mr. Hancuch’s practice focuses on employee benefit plan design and administration, including ERISA and Affordable Care Act compliance; benefit claims and litigation; employee relations and benefits aspects of mergers, acquisitions, workforce reductions and outsourcing; severance and exit incentive programs and agreements; remote work; leaves of absence and accommodation of employees with disabilities; employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims; employee leasing and worker classification; executive compensation; wage and hour laws; employee discipline and discharge; and other human resources matters.

Mr. Hancuch’s clients range in size from small professional corporations with a handful of employees to large multinational corporations. He enjoys working with management, human resources professionals and corporate counsel to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.

Mr. Hancuch writes and speaks frequently on human resources topics. He is a former Co-Chair of several American Bar Association Employee Benefits Committee Subcommittees, including the Subcommittees on ERISA Preemption and on Employment Discrimination and Employee Benefits. For over a decade Mr. Hancuch served as an editor of and contributor to the leading legal treatise Employee Benefits Law, published by Bloomberg BNA.
