Career

Lori Pines is a Litigation partner and Weil’s Chief Wellness Officer. For more than 25 years, Lori has managed the defense of extraordinarily complex and public disputes, including one of the largest class action/multi-district litigation proceedings, a number of lengthy jury trials, numerous government agency investigations, and one of the largest arbitrations ever filed. She has particularly extensive experience defending corporate clients in connection with investigations and civil litigation involving violations of the False Claims Act and its state analogs.

Personal

Lori co-founded and is the Co-Chair of Weil’s Health and Well-being Committee and serves on the Advisory Board of New York Presbyterian Hospital’s Leadership Council on Children’s and Women’s Health. She also chairs the Firm’s Litigation Training Program, is a member of the Firm’s Professional Development Committee, and is a member of the Firm’s Task Force on Women’s Engagement and Retention. Lori received her J.D. from NYU School of Law, her Masters in Public Affairs from Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, and her B.A. in Biology from Harvard College. She is a Duke IM Trained Integrative Health Coach, and in 2022, she became a certified Corporate Wellness Specialist.
