Career

Joseph Haag is an experienced intellectual property lawyer who focuses on patent litigation, patent prosecution and client counseling for patent matters. Since joining WilmerHale in 2001, Mr. Haag has successfully represented a variety of technology clients, including in areas such as electronic circuitry and devices, semiconductor fabrication and packaging, cellular telephone and wireless devices, and software. Over the course of his career, he has advised on many aspects of intellectual property and has represented clients in patent litigation in federal courts and before the International Trade Commission.

Mr. Haag has extensive patent prosecution experience for mechanical, electromechanical and software inventions, as well as in due diligence investigations for corporate transactions.

Mr. Haag also has extensive experience in all aspects of IP litigation. His recent patent litigations have involved technologies such as IT service management, electrochromic glass, cellular telephone and wireless devices, electronic devices and circuitry, non-volatile computer memory, lithography systems, and semiconductor fabrication and packaging.
