Career

Brittany Amadi focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation at the trial and appellate stages. Ms. Amadi has represented clients from a broad range of industries in intellectual property infringement matters before the US Supreme Court, US Circuit Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, US District Courts, and the US Court of Federal Claims. Ms. Amadi has experience handling intellectual property litigation matters for clients across a range of industries, including the financial services, computer software, medical device, defense, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and other industries.

Ms. Amadi's practice encompasses all stages of litigation—including discovery, summary judgment, trial and appeal. Her trial experience includes several jury trials in federal district courts in Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia. Ms. Amadi has also appeared in more than 15 appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition, Ms. Amadi has experience representing clients in post-grant review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Amadi was law clerk to the Honorable Timothy B. Dyk of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and to the Honorable Raymond A. Jackson of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Prior to law school, Ms. Amadi obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and worked as a mechanical engineer at the Naval Research Laboratory in the Spacecraft Engineering Department in Washington DC, where she performed structural analysis for the development and acquisition of space systems for naval missions, and assisted in the development of integrated conceptual design and prototyping of spacecraft systems. Ms. Amadi also completed an Alion Science and Technology Internship, a Federal Bureau of Investigations Honors Internship, and an internship at Motorola.
