Mr. Eppert leads Hunton Andrews Kurth’s multi-disciplinary compensation practice, focusing on executive compensation matters. He advises private and publicly-traded clients and their boards of directors on domestic and international executive contracts and equity incentive arrangements (including their related issues of tax, accounting, proxy rules, Section 16 filings, listing rules, governance issues and non-competition agreements), incentive compensation arrangements within M&A deals (including stay bonuses, change-in-control bonuses and 280G calculations), and ESOP transactions. Additionally, Mr. Eppert often represents boards of directors or management teams/executive officers in new-hire/termination situations.

Mr. Eppert serves as a member of (i) the Employee Benefits Committee for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, (ii) the Board of Advisors for TheCorporateCounsel.net, and (iii) the Board of Directors for the National Association of Stock Plan Administrators (Houston Chapter). Mr. Eppert is the sole speaker at the Executive Compensation Academy, which provides monthly training webinars for the past 14 years. He is also the primary thought leader to the C-Suite Compensation Center.

In addition to attaining an LL.M. (Taxation) from New York University (the #1 tax school in the U.S.), Mr. Eppert was a judicial clerk to the Honorable Richard F. Suhrheinrich of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
